I’d been practicing yoga in an unfocused but ongoing way for many years when someone recommended I attend a Marina Jung class. The first thing she said to me was ‘there is some body memory’. Immediately I began to think of the practice of yoga in an altered and more committed way. That is Marina, she is a gifted teacher whose every direction or comment is an aid to betterment and improvement through yoga. That was five years ago and the practice of yoga now anchors my life, as I learn how to be in the asanas. Marina has large classes full of people but will scan the room and understand all the varying levels of ability, engagement and potential. Her directions apply to everybody but one can respond in simple or more complex and deeper ways to her guidance, dependant upon experience and what is possible at the time. Such is her skill as a teacher and the generosity of spirit and knowledge she brings to her teaching of Iyengar yoga.
